Tomate
- 1½ parts of Pernod Absinthe
- 1 teaspoon of Grenadine
- Chilled water

Using the traditional absinthe drip method, replace the sugar cube with grenadine syrup - which imparts the curious colour from which this cocktail takes it's name. Serve in a chilled glass. A toast to Mr. William. T. Boothby, creator of this delicious drop.

Tips
The name grenadine originated from the French word grenade which means pomegranate (with pomme meaning apple and granate derived from the Italian word for seeds).
